One guy, one dollar at a time.
Hi. You can call me Rich. It's not my real name, it's the plan.
Here's the idea: if a million people each give me one dollar, I become a millionaire. That's it. That's the business plan.
I made this silly site with AI over a few nights. Then I paid for some ads, because a website nobody sees is just a file on a server. Now I want to know how far this goes. Maybe it stops at $40. Maybe it doesn't.
So far: $0 from 0 people in 0 countries. I spent $0 on ads. I'm in profit, which still surprises me.
I'm not selling anything. No course, no coin, no secret method. You give me money, your name goes on a list, your country moves up, and you get a certificate with a number on it. That's the whole deal.
The animals get a cut
It starts on October 19. On December 31, I'll give 10% of everything raised by then to animal rescues in the country that gave the most, no matter how much it is. If we get to $1,000,000, that's $100,000 for animal shelters. Helpers from that country get to suggest which ones, and I'll post the receipts in the ledger. So if you want shelters in your country to get it, you know what to do.
Are you a millionaire?
Can I join your club? You could probably take the billboard with what you spend on coffee in a week. Your message would sit on top of the homepage until someone gives more than you.
Hoy por ti, mañana por mí
It's an old saying in Spanish: today for you, tomorrow for me. People help each other because one day they'll be the ones who need it. Today it's my turn to ask.
Questions
Is this real?
Yes. Every number on this site is money that actually arrived. Nothing is seeded or made up. What I spend on ads is in the ledger, next to what came in.
Where does the money go?
To me, minus the 10% for animals. It's not a charity and it's not tax-deductible. I'll write in the ledger's diary what I do with it.
Who are you?
Someone with a laptop and a dumb idea. I'm keeping my real name out of it so the experiment is about the numbers, not me.
What do I get?
A spot on the public ranking, a numbered certificate (the first 1,000 are "founding helpers"), points for your country, and if you're the biggest helper, the billboard. That's it. Think of it as a tip with a certificate.
Can I stay anonymous?
Yes. Tick the box and you show up as "Anonymous" with your helper number.
What's the minimum?
One dollar by card or PayPal.
Can I get it back?
Gifts are final. If something went wrong, like a double charge, write to hello@makemerich.lol and I'll sort it out.
Isn't this a scam?
It would be a terrible one. It tells you exactly what it is on every page, and the money goes where it says it goes.
Why a country ranking?
Because people care more about beating the neighbours than about making me rich. I'm fine with that.
